In the User Manuel it gives you 3 methods to connect to your tv. It comes with an Optical Cable. You can also connect to separate external devices with the Optical Cable by connecting them to the Soundbar. Hope this was helpful.

Best bet is to hook up via optical (cable came with the soundbar) or via HDMI if your TV supports ARC (audio return channel). If you have/had a new (2015+ I think) Samsung TV then you could use wireless too but I haven't tried this (just saw it mentioned in the manual).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a insigma TV with Roku as well, you connect the Samsung sound bar with the Audio (optical) cable that is included your tv's inpu on the back. I connected mine that way and all is good.
