• Mano, you will need to utilize a soundbar with HDMI and a TV with an HDMI-ARC port to control your soundbar with the remote. Stepping up to the HW-T550, you will be able to connect via HDMI to utilize your DirecTV remote, as long as your TV supports HDMI-ARC. ^Gina

• mine works with the verizon for volume but adjustments to sound like bass treble need to be done with it's own remote
