Hi CHAR, Samsung recommends leaving at least 1/8” on each side, 1” on top and 2” in the back for air flow to enable maximum performance of the RH22H9010SR. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

21.5 cu. ft. Counter Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator with Food Showcase Fridge Door http://pages.samsung.com/ca/products/HA/fridge/RH22H9010SR.pdf Allow 1" minimum clearance at rear for proper air circulation and water/electrical connections. Allow a 3/8" minimum clearance at sides and top for ease of installation
