Do NOT use a knife. If you have a warranty you will risk losing coverage. The best thing to use and recommended is a steamer. Can be bought on Amazon for ~$30. I work in the warranty business and have had to deny many claims due to people using knifes or hair dryers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My ice maker does the same. Pull the ice maker out and you'll likely see it is frozen inside (frost and ice everywhere). Use a dull butter knife to gently chip out the ice. Use a towel to wipe the ice out and dry everything you can reach. It'll work for another 45-60 days before you have to do it again. Love the fridge... hate the ice maker.
