• Yes, the width of the doors when opened 90 degrees is wider than the fridge with the doors closed. You can pull up the spec sheet from Samsung's website, and it says to leave 2.5" on the sides if installing next to a wall. We had to leave some clearance between the fridge and our wall ovens so the doors wouldn't hit the oven handles when we opened the fridge doors.

• If the doors are fully extended open it's about 60 inches of width. However if you open them straight then it does not add any width. Since I have had the refrigerator for over two months I rarely have the need to fully extend the doors all the way open. There is plenty of space to access the inside of the refrigerator with the doors open straight.
