• Yes and yes...I signed up for the every six month replacement filter to be sent to me to avoid me forgetting and waiting until my water tasted weird due to a dirty filter.

• Yes this has an internal filter (HAF-QIN) You should replace a refrigerator water filter every 6 months with average usage
