Assuming that you ran the cold drinking water until water came out, and a gallon or two more, it should be almost right a way -- a couple of hours at most

Thanks for the question, Grey. When the RF263BEAESR is first installed, it could take up to 24 hours for the freezer to reach the necessary temperature and produce the first batch of ice, but be sure to follow the initialization instructions in the user manual to flush the water lines and test the ice maker to ensure it's getting the necessary water, as well. - Ms. Samsung
