Q: QuestionCubed ice has Crushed ice in it.I do not use the crushed ice feature on the refrigerator but when I get my ice it has both cubed and crushed ice eventhough I only select the cubed ice. I would say it is about 80% cubed and 20% crushed. Is this normal? Should I call for service? It is not a problem for me but I just wanted to make sure something is not wrong with ice maker.

• A:Answer Thanks for your interest in the RF263BEAESR. This model comes with the handles detached; you'll need a 3/16" (5mm) Allen wrench to install them. Instructions for attaching the handles and removing/reattaching the doors and drawer, if necessary, can be found in the User Manual which can be downloaded in advance as a pdf file from Samsung's website. - Ms. Samsung

The dimensions, which are also listed under the specifications tab, are 35-3/4" wide by 68-5/8" high without the hinges (70" with them) by 33-1/4" deep with the doors but without handles. The depth with the handles is 35-5/8", and the case depth is 29-1/4". - Ms. Samsung

Q: QuestionMiddle strip between the two doors does not operate properly.The strip that flips between the two doors does not work properly all the time. If you close the left door very slowly it will flip to seal both doors but if it is closed normally it does not flip and create the seal between the two doors. Is there any adjustment for this or should I call a repair person?

• A:Answer My water spout leaked when I first got my refrigerator. I flushed 3 gallons of water through one right after another and it has not leaked since. Most likely air in the line. I used the water to water my plants so no waste. Hope this helps.

• A:Answer Most likely a defective ice maker unit. Samsung replaced ours twice during the warranty period. It is still not fixed and Samsung is washing their hands of our problem since we are now outside the warranty period. Good luck to you. I hope you get better customer service than we did.

• A:Answer The refrigerator will show a signal (in the same panel where your ice/water dispenser choices and temperature ranges are displayed) when it is time to replace the filter (refer to your manual). If that is not working, plan on replacing the filter at least every 6 months.

• A:Answer Tweezers or needle nose pliers. Start at the top of the dispenser near the rear lip and work it slowly forward till you have most of the top portion off and the just peel the whole thing off slowly in one or a few pieces.

• A:Answer Parts China, assembly US . Don’t buy Samsung frig. Samsung is aware of Issues with freezer and ice maker. We have friends with a another Samsung model that has same problems. It’s poor design and evidently there is a class action lawsuit that is on the books for over a year.

• A:Answer From setup manual: run 3 gallons of water through the system...this clears any air in the line which is the main cause of dripping. It’s weird there’s no drip tray but after running 3 big pitchers through I havent had any dripping issues.
