A:AnswerDepends on your water. If you have soft water, use powdered detergent and use half as much, as soft water causes excessive foaming. Otherwise, those detergent packets/pods are good but they tend to get stuck in the dispenser. So I just put them in the silverware baskets and have no issues. And use ONLY JetDry rinse agent - everything else will make your dishwasher look like one of those foam parties.
A:AnswerThrough all cycles of operation, the machine makes very little noise. It seems to be well insulated from noise. This machine is much more quiet than my older Whirlpool. The model we have is the DW80F600UTS.
A:AnswerThanks for the question. Since the parts that go into making the Dishwasher have virtually no odor themselves, I would suggest following the procedures recommended in the manual for deodorizing the DW80F600UTS, but also checking installation to ensure the drain hose is routed in such a way as to prevent backwash of dirty water back into the tub. For the drain to operate properly, the dishwasher should be installed within 9.8 ft of the sink. Pages 18-19 of the full Installation Guide (which can be downloaded as a pdf file from Samsung's website) detail installing the drain hose with or without an air gap; either way, be sure the middle section of the hose is elevated at least 30" above the floor, and at a higher level than the connection to the drain pipe to prevent backwash.
To remove the odor that's already present, run a Sanitize cycle, following instructions on pages 20-21 of the User Manual. It's also a good idea to wipe down the interior walls, doors and the especially the sides and bottom edge of the door where it seals since this area isn't reached during the dishwasher cycle.
I hope these suggestions help to remove the odor and prevent it from recurring.

A:Answerthey have a phone number (800) 726-7864, but good luck, they aren't responsive and you can't get support. It is obvious they are just reading off a canned list of replies and can't schedule a repair person.
A:AnswerThe DW80F600UTS, like other Samsung Dishwashers, uses a fan-assisted Condensation Drying system to dry the dishes. This method saves energy by relying on the residual heat on the dishes to evaporate the water, and is also safer for plastics and delicate items. Adding a rinse aid and selecting the Sanitize option when appropriate aid the drying process, as well.

A:AnswerYou have to have the door open to set controls. When controls selected and door is shut, a "success tone" or beep is heard to tell you machine has started.
