Let me rephrase what the other writer said: In order to cut cost (for Samsung) and get around energy rules without actually saving much energy, Samsung took out the heating element completely (Bosch does this too) So, their dishwashers 1. don't have a heat dry option at all (important in humid areas). Their "condensation" system is available in any DW: just turn off the heated dry and open the door a crack and hope the retained heat dries the dishes. Works great in dry areas, not so well in humid areas. 2. Can't heat water at all. You MUST run the water hot in your closest sink to have any hope of DW using hot water. otherwise, it washes your dishes in cold. Also means you have to keep your hot water heater set high enough to deliver hot enough water for the DW. Funny thing - Samsung brags about their energy efficiency, but all they really do is shift the energy cost back to your hot water heater.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes there is a heated dry option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it has a heated dry, but maybe just forced air. There is no option to change the basic cycle. The dishes come out warm, dry and without spots.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The DW80J3020UB uses Condensation Drying technology rather than heated dry to save energy and reduce damage to items that may fall to the bottom of the tub during the cycle. Samsung recommends using a rinse aid to assist in the drying process and help to prevent spotting. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung
