Hello MichaelP! As ice falls from the ice maker into the bucket, there will be an audible sound. However, you are able to press the Ice Off button to turn the ice maker off. The ice maker also has a sensor to determine if the bucket is full. If the bucket is full, ice production is temporarily paused to prevent over-filling. ^Jecca
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The ice maker is quiet, much quieter than the last one we had. Yes, there is a switch to turn the icemaker off. Occasionally a rogue cube will fall out but it's not been a problem.
