• Hi Alice H., Thanks for the question. Samsung doesn't recommend installing the RF261BEAEWW where the temperature will go below 50ºF. - Ms. Samsung

• I don't see why not, as the recommended temperature is 37F. You can take it down to just above freezing if you like things really cold. Should run less in that climate, saving you money in the winter.
