Why is the white model more costly than the stainless steel ? I have seen the difference of up to $300.00. null

MARKETING! Years ago white was the default color, others were extra. Now the powers that be have decided that stainless is cool so if you want white you pay. It is not manufacturer-driven, it is marketing-driven.

I've seen the white less than stainless when I was looking. $300 difference sounds like maybe one has water/ice dispenser on the door?

The white model we bought was less expensive than the stainless and should be because stainless steel is more expensive than a painted galvanized steel substrate.
