Thanks so much for asking! The Family Hub is able to be connected to the SmartThings app, which is available on both iOS and Android devices. However, we are not able to confirm full functionality of all features with non-Samsung products. ^Jecca

Not really. I set up wifi from desktop to frig. If you have an android you can do so much more. I have an iphone, and love the frig it will sync up with other talking devices for convenience and I really enjoy the frig.
