I use a hot soapy rag on the inside and just stainless cleaner on the outside

Regarding your concern, use a clean, microfiber cloth, and if necessary, a damp cloth with mild detergent, and be sure to dry everything when you're done thoroughly. For the exterior of your refrigerator, if it is is stainless steel, use a stainless steel cleaner or polish like Bar Keepers Friend and a soft clean cloth.
