Absolutely, RayBob! In fact, we recommend removing the internal water filter if your home has a home water filtration system. But not to worry, there's nothing complicated here, just remove the filter from the refrigerator, and that's it! The filter housing will automatically seal shut to prevent leaks. ^Jecca
