This is true stainless so it's not magnetic. You can put magnets on the side though.

Though some customers may still want to use magnets to hang artwork or notes on the refrigerator doors, the 8" LCD display with WiFi may make the use of magnets unnecessary for others. The Apps that come pre-loaded on the RF4289 make it possible to display artwork as part of a photo album slideshow through Picasa, or post notes using the Memo feature. You can also reference your family's calendars through Google Calendar, check the day's weather through WeatherBug, or view the latest news headlines on AP News. Other kitchen-friendly tools include searching for recipes on Epicurious, following your favorites on Twitter or listening to them on Pandora Radio.
