Coolest Refrigerator Out There

You can't go wrong, the built-in WiFi apps are amazing and the fridge keeps every compartment at whatever temperature you deem appropriate. The interior lighting is great as well, something you may not think about when purchasing a refrigerator. Samsung should paying me commission because everyone who sees our fridge immediately goes out and buys their own. From the gmail calendar sync, pandora, and live weather and headlines, it's the coolest fridge out there, in many more ways than one!
The ONLY negative I can think is that you cannot connect to a Wi-Fi network that has a hidden name. There's no way to manually enter an SSID that is hidden and have it work. No big deal and has no bearing on the performance of the fridge

Excellent Fridge for a family of 5 to 6. I wouldn't recommend it for larger families. Like the french doors, the freezer is very useful, and love the drink drawer. I wish there was more info on how to best utilize the technology that comes with the fridge - a youtube instruction video would be very helpful. The price for it is also higher than we would have liked to pay. Still a good family fridge.

Had this for about 5 months now and LOVE IT!! Looked at this for a while but held back on the price then it went on super sale. Same one with or with out touch screen. Screen was about $200.00 more but I thought it was worth it just for the cool factor. Actually kinda of nice to have. This has just about everything that you could have. The French doors are the way to go. Very good lighting & layout. You can actually find stuff in this thing. Open the door and the inside is flat, you can sit things on it while you're digging through or rearranging. Door shelves are useable. Now to the "Stupid ice & water". Icemaker is loud when it dumps out but only a problem at night in a quiet house. The ice & water takes its time to stop. You have to push the doors shut, they won't close without a push but you get used to it in about a week. The only drawbacks that I've fount so far. But for that I would have given it 5 stars. The third drawer is great. Use that for every day stuff, eliminates a lot of digging. Dual cooling and the screen shows current temps. Also has Weatherbug & other cool apps. If your gonna have a fridge might as well have one you like, is functional and is really cool! Be advised that this is not a cheep unit (around $2,300.00 on sale) and not cheaply built. This is not only a big purchase but something that you are going to use everyday, spend time on research before you buy. Go to Best Buy & look at and play with it. Compare to others, note quality. If you got this far in this rambling and do decide this is the one for you I think that you will be happy with your choice. Any questions? Just ask. Oh, if you have children or grandchildren it's real easy to keep clean.

I had the refrigerator delivered and within a week the display went out and needed to be replaced. The display (internet access with apps) and the extra drawer were two of the main reasons I bought this particular model. The display has been replaced.
I am very pleased with the layout and design of the doors and drawers. Initially I thought it was a little awkward, but as I used it and became familiar with the capabilities I realized that I was becoming more organized and I could actually SEE what was in the refrigerator (awesome LED lights in all the compartments) and I developed a system for storing things like fresh meats, cheese, and soda. Within three weeks I had developed an efficient system and I was automatically going to the correct area when putting food away or going to get something out. The extra drawer is where I keep fresh meat, cheese and my soda. As soon as I open the drawer I am reminded of the fresh food I have available to eat and it no longer gets shoved toward the back of the refrigerator and is forgotten.
The bottom freezer is huge and is also much easier to organize and load. I am 5 feet tall and in the past, being able to see what was in the freezer required a foot stool and moving things around while I search for what I thought should be in the freezer.
The ice maker and water dispenser actually work the way they are supposed to, The ice/water dispenser is taller and wider than most which is a big plus for filling water bottles, or putting ice in a bowl.
The temperature for each compartment is consistent with its individual settings. Nice to have a refrigerator that cools/freezes to my expectation and doesn't freeze items in the refrigerator section or fail to freeze frozen items as hard as it should.

I can't say enough good things about the refrigerator and I would recommend it to anyone that asks. I think I am now the envy of the neighborhood. :)

We bought this fridge on clearance, if not, it probably would not be worth the original price. The touch screen is pretty cool, and it's nice to be able to listen to pandora while working in the kitchen. The inside is very spacious and roomy. All in all an excellent fridge

This is a great, silent, high efficiency (inverter) with led lighting fridge, but in less than a year it started leaking water and was surprised of the roadblocks placed to get it fixed, thankfully had purchased geek squad, even though I had to wait the 1st year of warranty of samsung to run out (not good). But the operation of the machine (this is a nice machine really) is smooth. The only bad is the service provide by Samsung an is a shame.

Overall great space, quiet, and really like the sliding drawer for my daughter. The retail price is ridiculous, we bought floor model for about half... And feel that was about the right price. One minor complaint is the amount of space for tall items is slightly on the low side

The fridge works great. It is roomy and the French doors make for easy access. The apps are a neat idea but for us at least, useless. The fridge wi fi will not recognize my home wi fi although all of my other wi fi items work fine. I was told purchasing a wi fi extender might solve the problem but if the wi fi doesn't work as it should, why don't you "give" me an extender?
I really like the appliance but the wi fi shortcomings did cause some disappointment and thus a lower rating. If the wi fi worked, I would give everything a 5.

The fridge is great. It does what it's supposed to do and then some. The ice chest/dispenser inside the fridge makes for awkward size storage spaces that sit there empty--can't find anything to put there. The middle fridge drawer is good, other than the dividers just move each time you open and close it, rendering them somewhat pointless. The freezer is great, very large capacity and very easy to organize to ones liking, love the "pizza slot" on the door. As far as the screen and all the apps, it's mediocre... The best part of it is Pandora, however once you're listening to music on it you must stay in the app, if you navigate away from it to do anything else, such as pull up some recipes on Epicurus or look at your Google calendar, Pandora shuts off... As far as the wi-fi connectivity, your router must be fairly close to the fridge in order to get a decent signal, would not recommend this for any older or less tech savvy individuals. I would recommend playing around with it for a while before buying--really get to see if YOU like it and if it fits your needs/wants. Even if I had done so, and know about it what I know know, I still would have purchased it.

We love the Samsung fridge with LCD touchscreen. The only negative is the ice making capabilities. I like ice and we have four kids and does not keep up unfortunately. However, the gadget factor does outweigh even the ice situation. Has great room for putting large quantities of food away.

Best fridge I've ever owned. The touchscreen pad is a great touch. Listening to music or checking the 7 day forecast in the kitchen before you head out to work is a great option. Not once has it dropped in connection. I would recommend this fridge for anyone looking for plenty of space with looks to match!

We have had this Samsung refrigerator for only a few weeks, and so far it's been great. Love the display panel with wi-fi. The stainless steel exterior does not show fingerprints as much as others we've had. Size is perfect, not much deeper than counter-depth appliances which cost a lot more, with plenty of storage space in fridge and freezer.

In short this is a beautiful fridge. The freezer and flex shelf are great. The touch screen and apps are great when they work. It seems to liek to drop signal in middle of checking things for no apparent reason and resets the apps. There doens't seem to be a reason for it, all other wi-fi devices work fine and fridge is within 15 ft of router. Hopefully it's something that will be patched. The grocery manager would be better if you could send list to your phone or add via a phone. tablet app. Also it would be helpful for more descriptions on what "meat" or "condiment" is. Doesn't really help when you want to know which item is nearing expiration. I think these are just after thoughts for Samsung but hoping for future enhancements. The shelves in fridge are not very accomodating for bottles like 2L soda's, wine and even the height of beer bottles. You practically need to removea whole shelf for them to fit.

We actually received this Samsung as a replacement for an LG side by side we purchased 5 years ago. We had nothing but problems with the freezer and ice maker on the LG and right at the end of the extended warranty it had its fifth service call. We contacted Best Buy who basically stated go to the store and pick out a comparable model. This Samsung was actually open box with minor dents on the side that are hidden when installed.
The unit works very well. No issues keeping up with constant family usage. The wife likes the freezer and beverage tray. It's nice being able to put a large pizza in the freezer or refrigerator. It has a neutered android style interface that is OK. I have the same issues with it as other reviews except I have no issue keeping the wireless connected to the internet with a TP Link AP located 15 feet from it. No issues with a funny taste in the water or ice.

My wife really likes the middle drawer features allowing you to tailor the temperature and to adjust the spacing of items into four different quadrants.
I like the way the shelves are laid out giving you the ability to store very tall items next to the icemaker by simply flipping up the short shelf. The door space isn't wasted either.
The freezer drawer and sliding shelf are great as well. It's hard do believe this unit is a mere 28 cu ft. It seems larger.
This will be a great buy as long as it keeps running like this for many years.

Loving this frig so far. The space inside is unbelievable. We had a side by side prior to. Some would say why do you need all of those apps on your frig. Well we use them all accept for the epicurious one. I made a Pandora Christmas station and we listened to Christmas music all day while cooking. Yes I could have done that through my iPhone but the speaker is actually better on th frig. Still the space is what sold us and we are very happy.

..if this thing also had a toilet attachment! Kidding of course, but the ability to access the Web, music, news, recipes and the like is a huge boon to this fridge, which is already a beast in terms of size and features. stays awesomely cold, is quiet, and looks very slick.
