Thanks for your interest. Samsung recommends leaving at least 3/8" clearance on the top and each side of the RF28HFEDBSR, and 1" behind it for air circulation. If either side is opening into a wall, additional space is needed to allow the handle to clear (approximately 3-3/4" for the door to open 90 degrees). This would make the minimum size of the enclosure 36-1/2" wide by 71" high by 30" deep if you want the refrigerator to be recessed into the cutout as far as the front edge of the case. The 71" height is based on providing space above the 70" door hinges to allow for leveling, but may not be necessary depending on your flooring. If the cabinets above the fridge are 24" deep or less, then the minimum height would be 69-1/4". - Ms. Samsung
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say minimum door wingspan is 39". We bought this for a space of 37" and can't open the right door because its next to a wall..... Really wish this dimension had been listed in the item specs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Our space measures approximately 70in in height, 36in in width. Not sure about depth, but we have the standard depth in refrigerators. It sticks out about 5inches from the enclosure, but so did out old fridge. Had we purchased counter depth, it may have been flush.

If you want to install it within counter space or full wall cabinets, all you need is a minimum of a quarter inch space more than the width for a nice snug fit without large gaps on each side and about the same for above cabinets. You should probably leave more room on top to allow ventilation for the compressor and place something like a 2 X 4 block on the floor behind the unit to keep some space for the water line and electric plug. P.S. I am not an licensed installer, I just do this for myself and it works.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Back wall should be at least 38.5 inches. Depth of the wall should be at least 27.5 inches. Height should be at least 72 inches. And this refrigerator is not a counter-depth refrigerator.
