I had a little problem getting this as well. that screw is in a plastic piece that is just connected to the other part of the shelf so if you just hit with the heal of the hand in an upward motion right by that screw it should pop right up
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was confused about the same thing, but read the answers that said it isn't screwed but more like a latch. Just apply more upward pressure near the plastic piece and it will come up. After the first couple times it is easier.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yeah, this weirded me out too. It's not actually screwed together. On the shelf is a little white bit that locks into the part that's screwed into the stationary shelf. It takes a bit of force to unlock them, but it's just as simple as pushing up on the pop up shelf and holding the stationary one. Push carefully right at the plastic area so you don't hurt yourself. I'd imagine this was designed so the shelf wouldn't pop up and down during transit. I do not know if you are supposed to remove the plastic bits post installation or not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had trouble with this too. There is a knob that pops into the other shelf where the white plastic piece is. Just give it a good push up carefully and it should pop out and lift up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It looks like a screw or rivet goes all the way through from the fold-up shelf to the non folding shelf, pinning the folding shelf in place. It is actually two adjacent rivets, each holding either side of a "snap button" which (very) firmly holds the fold-up shelf in place. It is not a single piece that connects the two shelves. The fold-up shelf will fold, you just need to use enough force to unsnap it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just received my refrigerator (RF28R7351SR/aa) and I had the same issue and it is NOT addressed in the manual. I used a flathead screwdriver and slightly place it in between that white plastic attachment and what looks like a 'screw' of the left shelf and it moved and with a little pressure from the bottom of the shelf it released. Nothing broke off and when I placed it back down it snapped right back into place. When I tried to lift it again it was much easier. I don't know why Samsung made a mystery of this. Hope this helps everyone.
