Do not buy the icemaker freezes up every 2 weeks bad design thay know but will not fix spend your money on a different Brand

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The top drawer in the freezer slides out to about four inches of the front door wall. The drawer itself is made from some sort of plastic and is of good quality. It is not a basket. The freezer compartment is fairly large. There is also a thin tray attached to the front of the door - pretty useless as not much really fits in it. Our older one was much better as it was wider and deeper, thus much more practical for placing items, like beer mugs, for easy access.
