If I understand your question correctly, I think you need about 2" of space between the sides of the fridge and the adjacent cabinet/wall, in order to get the doors open. I've attached a photo taken with the top right door open, camera positioned underneath the door, to show how it swings out to the side when open. The arc of motion of that corner is lateral and backward, so having this fridge flush with the wall or cabinets would not work.

The refrigerator is less than a half inch smaller in both directions. Now, once inside the opening, we have about an inch more clearance on the side and a bit more on top, so air flow is a bit better within the cabinet space. The hinges stick out further than "counter depth", and are taller than the opening.
