Q: QuestionI have a older Samsung series 4 plasma tv and without the hdmi arc, will the Samsung soundbar HW-R650/ZA work with this tv? What cables do I need to hook it up. Also what spots do I contact to on the tv?

• A:Answer Why would you not just use the arc? It is the simplest way to connect and setup for best results. I’m sure you have an extra hdmi cable laying around the house. If not, they are cheap.

• A:Answer The tv remote will control the sound bar volume. I have to turn the sound bar on and off with its remote, but it will connect automatically. Not sure if there is a way to link the tv remote with the sound bar so that it will turn on and off when you turn the tv on and off, but I haven’t tried.
