“What is the difference between this model HW-M550/ZA and the HW-K550/ZA?”

• I was told by an employee the k550 models were from 2016. And the m550 model is from 2017.

• HW-M550 is Samsung's 2017 new model as you can easily distinguish by the alphabet. Basically the channel and wattage is same as HW-K550(3.1ch, 340W) and it seems the only difference is the REAR wireless kit compatabilty. K550 : SWA-8000S vs M550 : SWA-8500S

• Samsung doesn't seem to know the difference. Consumer reports rates the 2016 model (K550) very well but the subwoofers are completely different and it cannot be the same as the 2017 model (M550) but if anyone knows whether one is technically inferior to the other, please post the answer.

• K550 is the 2016 model, M550 is the 2017 model. Sub woofers are different in each model.

• Hello ~ guys , I searched the information in internet and i knew that subwoofer had different design...guess they have different subwoofer, so..it could cause different sound signature.
