“Have samsung 3.1 sound bar with wireless rear speakers , very little sound from rear speakers and that is only background sounds no dialog... I wanted to be able to hear the dialog better across the room not more background noises. What can I do?”

What you're experiencing is "surround sound". The speakers are playing the sound effects that would come behind you if you were experiencing the TV show or movie as an audience member. What you want is All-Stereo mode. If the surround receiver has this type of mode, it will turn the rear surround sound speakers into right/left like the front.
