“We have a Samsung soundbar series5 HW-M550. The soundbar keeps saying check the soundwoofer. we went through the steps manually. After setting the ID set red and blue blinking, turn offthe soundbar and pushing the volume button for over 5 sec. no IDset?”

Try turning off sound bar. With a small point like a paper clip press in the pairing button on the back of subwoofer do not release at first blue blinking. Continue to hold it for 10 seconds. Example, blinking blue to red and blue then blinking blue continue to hold count to ten then release,. With remote hold mute button for 5 seconds. You should then see the connected message, turn power on sound bar. This worked for me after a couple of hours following instructions.
