There are two different places that you can adjust the bass output. Be sure that you find both before giving up. I was underwhelmed before I found the second tweak, hidden in the menu .... Sorry, don't have the exact steps, but just poke around a bit. With both augments in place, bass is much more useful. No my home Klipsh, but acceptable.
