• Display stays off except for power on and adjustments, including volume adjustments.

• The display only stays on for a few seconds when first turned on, telling you "Hello" and then will light up switching inputs and volume adjustments. Not obtrusive at all.

• Display automatically turns off but turns back on when you use the remote or buttons on unit.
