• The 3.1 is way better than 2.1 I had a Polk 2.1 I bought a Samsung 3.1 and I love it.

• Hi Alex, The HW-T650 does support Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual:X . The 3.1 is a better solution because it gives you a dedicated center channel speaker to which 70% of your dialogue would come from. ^Patty
