“Out of the box all functions worked on this unit 25 days ago. 10 days ago I tried to change the sound mode and adjust other settings, when I press the "sound mode" or "settings" buttons nothing happens now. All other remote functions work. Suggestions?”

Remove the power cord from the main soundbar for one minute and than plug in again.
