-Yes, the dryer goes on top. -Total height is about 77" -The height to the control panel is between 72.5" (at the lowest buttons) and 76" (at the highest buttons). The control panel is perfect for me but I'm 6'5". My girlfriend is 5'10" and she doesn't have a problem with it. Stacking them isn't necessary, but if you're looking to save space, it's an awesome option. You could probably check at a local store to see for sure. Hope this helps.
