Are the knobs metal or plastic? null

Metal. The overall knob and the shaft that connects to the main unit are metal. There are some plastic bits underneath that appear related to the how the knob glows blue, but don't look important to the knob's strength or functioning.

They are metal but there is a plastic piece that goes straight down which is used to make the knob turn and I pulled my off to clean it and the plastic had broke and it won't work without it so now I have to order a new knob. Ive had for about 3 years or less.
