Q: QuestionCan the Wi-Fi module be left off cooktop to give a smooth top? Don't want or need wi-fi and would prefer a flat top. thanks

Q: QuestionI need to know the cut out size for the 30” gas cook top for GE, Samsung, and LG….. I currently have a cut out measuring 29” w x 19-1/8 deep. My tops are granite. Will any of these cooktops fit? My gas line comes in at the back right hand corner

• A:Answer To avoid any measuring mishaps and then have to pay a restocking fee because I purchased a cook-top that wouldn't fit for some reason, I used Best Buys free Geek Squad service . They came to my house and took measurements and made recommendations. We purchase this cook-top and absolutely love it. We had no idea just how poor our 18 year old cook-top cooked until using this one. We also purchased the coordinating above the stove microwave and will hopefully replace our double oven soon too.

Q: QuestionCan I change the gas nipple that is on the cooktop to a shorter one. My installer can’t see inside to see how it is attached to the unit. Is it pressed in or threaded on. I’m installing over a wall oven and it is too close to the oven

Q: QuestionThe WiFi unit is so bulky on the back, when we got our backsplash installed, I can't put the stove back into place. We don't use the wifi "feature". How can I remove it so that I can put my stove back properly?

Q: QuestionWhile cleaning the cooktop, I got easy off oven cleaner on the control panel which caused discoloration. My feelings are so hurt. Has this happened to anyone? Did you replace the panel? If so, how. Also, where did you get the part?

• A:Answer Yes, this happened to me. I had it replaced, there is no other way to fix it. Very expensive but I feel so much better. Now I know not to spray the easy off on the panel. Is it still under the warranty? If yes, call the manufacturing company but be prepared to hear that they won't replace it. It is considered cosmetic. Mine is a Samsung cooktop and it costed about $500. Good luck!!
