Q: QuestionHow heavy are the grates? At the West LA Store, the only cooktop that had grates that didn't weigh a ton were Bosch (and I'm really strong!). But Bosch cooktop isn't getting good reviews. Do Samsun grates have quiet rubber on the bottom to quiet them?

Q: QuestionLooking to replace my current 30" gas cooktop and the microwave installed above it. Can I install this model under an over range microwave without melting it? If so, any recommendations and what is the minimum distance ? Thank you

• A:Answer From my experience if you are heavy cooker and like boiling lots of stuff avoid an over the top microwave, venting is not sufficient. Just buy an independent range hood and forget about having issues you are bringing up.

Q: QuestionCONCERNED ABOUT BLACK STAINLESS COOKTOP WEARABILITY. WILL IT STAND UP LONG TERM, TO SCRUBBING TO CLEAN SPILLED AND BURNT FOOD. I READ THAT NORMAL STAINLESS FINISH ON ALL COOKTOPS BECOMES BROWNED FROM HEAT WITH AGE.

• A:Answer Hi DMRSR - I own this gas stove top and it has more of a black teflon coating that appears to be pretty durable. I have used the blue side of a kitchen sponge to get off spill over and the surface does not even show swirl marks. The key though is to get up spills after your meal as you are washing dishes; if anyone does dishes. I know some people clean their cooktops once a month and they look a mess. If you are not lazy and clean regularly I see no problem why the stove top wont stay looking good for years. As far as the heat, mine is black and discoloration will be unlikely. Again - the key is clean it daily after use and you will be fine.

Q: QuestionHi-- we have this to be delivered in 2 weeks. Its unclear if the gas line comes with it? it says it comes with a gas connector? Also not sure where the gas and power connect to the cooktop. thank you

• A:Answer A regulator is supplied, which in necessary to connect to the gas line, which is not supplied. There is a power cord that simply plugs into a wall outlet that needs to be located underneath the cooktop on the back wall. the regulator is on the back right underneath cooktop.

Q: QuestionWhat is the black 'box' at the back of the cook top? I am concerned about wall clearance it would seem the depth is larger than 21 inches.

• A:Answer That is your wifi. You can remove it, but then it will not connect to your home network. If you remove it, you must put in the supplied cover to protect the opening, which will still require some additional clearance of approximately the same size.
