The purpose of the Steam Quick steam cleaning feature on the FE-R300SX is to help clean spilled and splattered grease and food from the oven cavity before it gets burned or baked onto the oven surfaces over time. So, for example, if you bake a pie and it spills a bit onto the oven floor, using Steam Quick that night, or before it has a chance to set and get baked on again, may enable you to clean up the mess without having to use the high heat necessary for the traditional Self-Cleaning method. If, on the other hand, there is a spill that gets baked on again and again, it is likely you would have to use the Self-Clean feature to clean the oven. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

Steam clean is when you put it to self clean and dump a cup of water on the bottom of the oven when starting the clean cycle. It will create steam and clean. Self clean is when you press self clean button and wait it out. Your dirty disgusting oven will be spotless and sparkling in a couplw of short hours.
