Questionwhen you use fast boil what number do you put dial on?

- Answer Just use the right front burner and be sure you turn the knob to the right, so both burners are on. From there I guess it just depends on how fast you need it to boil. I'd say 6-8 will get you there in a hurry with both burners going.

Question40 amp or 50 amp cord?There is no information about the amps of the range in the specs, which our electrician asked about before scheduling a visit. Which amp cord should be purchased? We need to install a new outlet but don't know which is recommended/preferred.

- Answer When the breast meat reaches 160F and the legs/thighs reach 180F this will likely be at different times if the breast goes beyond 160F it'll become dry so i suggest parting off the legs and thighs if/when this happens and returning them if necessary. You can tent/foil over the breast ONLY (leaving legs exposed) to slow it down early and get the end goal as well.

QuestionError codeI've only had this range a month and a half and already got two error codes. One was E-27 and the other was E-OA. Why would this happen? It happened when oven was on. The last one, we shut off the circuit breaker, then turned it on again. The first error message, we just cleared it with the clear button and reset the oven.

- Answer I'm sorry to hear you're getting these error codes on your new FE-R300SW range. Since it appears you've already followed the instructions for resetting the range to clear the errors and they've reoccurred, it may be necessary to schedule service with a qualified technician in order to determine the cause and find a solution. QuestionColor change.10/5/13 Why did all of the manufacturers switch to black smoothtops? So many people report how difficult they are to clean, & fingerprints, dust, & scratches really show up on these. I currently own one that is white & love it. Due to a recall on it, I have to replace it (not a Samsung). I have better things to do rather than spending time on cleaning it daily to keep it looking nice. Comments & reason please.

- Answer You can still get white. But.... Depending on the manufacturer, their promotions, and what people are buying it may be hard to get or more money. For example, the Samsung fridge we got on a Black Friday sale at Best Buy was $1800. The white version (everything else the same) was $3300. Guess which one we bought?

QuestionIs there an equivalent model but a gas range?I really am interested in using my cast iron cookware and I see the helpful question here about that and that cast iron is not recommended. I am looking for gas freestanding range and Samsung rates really well.

- Answer It's not a K ... I'm sure it's a mark that is used during manufacturing so the cooktop is placed correctly. I have that same mark so it's obviously supposed to be there.

- Answer Since ranges are not measured by Energy Star, there is not a standardized rating for their energy use. Besides the bulb for the clock, the amount of energy used each month depends entirely on how often you cook with it, for how long, and how many of the burners are used, and whether you also use the oven, broiler and warming drawer. The FE-R300SX has a total power consumption rating of 13,700 watts and 40 amps. Thanks for your question! Ms. Samsung
