• Thanks for your interest. As of June 2014, all RF32FMQDBSR, as well as other Samsung 4-Door Flex Refrigerators, use only R134A refrigerant in both compressors. - Ms. Samsung

• The refrigerant is butane (R600) for the refrigerator compartment (Model RF32FMQD8SR/AA). A conventional fluoro-carbon (R134A) is used in the freezer section. The newer model (RF32FMQDBXW/AA) used R134A for both sections.

• I have never had a cooling problem and we have had this now for over a year
