It has a nice picture and good colors.The 720p resolution is fine for those purposes. Since this sounds as if it's going to be your only TV, and it's likely going in a smaller area (travel trailer,) you may want to look at a 1080p model if you're going 32". I consider 32" the cut off point at which, depending on the circumstances, the extra dollars for 1080p may be the right option. I was in Best Buy this weekend and saw some good sales on 1080p 32" TVs from different manufacturers, including Samsung and the store's Insignia brand. The sale prices were down to what the 720p models were a few months ago.
