“Why is the quality of the picture make movies older cinimatic movies look like poor animated quality and can it be changed? If so, how? I don’t get this on my LED TV’s.”

I only use the vivid setting and have no problems with any Blu-rays or DVDs. Try that setting and maybe that will solve your problem.
