The issue is not with the display but within the settings. Either in the cable box or the tv settings you have or set to stretch . There are a couple of different settings that need to be correct : Let’s start with the cable box: 1 tv type or screen size should be 16:9 2. Resolution 1080P 3. Video mode should be set to FILL. 4. There is a setting for non HD and for 4:3 that and only that should be set to stretch. It’s best you make these setting changes on the cable box, and leave the tv screen setting to normal / fill . In your case It sounds like the tv’s display setting is set to Zoom. Using the tv’s remote go into video settings and make the changes. If you call your cable provider they will help correct the issue as well. Good luck Pete P
