Mine is cool to the touch after 5 hours of playing . Just got it today BTW

Call Best Buy, or go to your nearest Best Buy, get in the line for Geek Squad and ask them. It may be no problem, but at least you will know. I think the TV has at least a one year warranty so I suggest you find out. Sometimes a few phone calls will be priceless. There should also be info on the TV booklet with 800 number.
