“How can I tell what the resolution is of what is on my screen at a given time. Searches say to click om SOURCE but that does NOT yield the resolution results.”

There is a really big circle on the remote control. inside that circle is a button. If you press that button, then you will see up top on the right hand corner of the screen where it will say what resolution you're getting.
