A:Answer It’s hard to answer without knowing more information. Your tv remote controls your tv, not your cable box. Spectrum is my cable service. I have 8 TVs, 5 are Samsung, and all of the remotes are similar. They control all aspects of your tv. I have Rokus hooked up to all TVs, getting rid of the cable boxes. The Roku has a Spectrum app with all of my channels. It also controls volume, on/off, etc. The Rokus paid for themselves in 10 months. I have over 200 apps on each Roku. Not knowing which cable service you have makes it hard to be more specific.
