  • QuestionQuestion for Samsung directly: how does a warranty on failed compressor work exactly?

    Asked by Appia.

    • Answer Hi Appia, We’re happy to provide the details of the warranty coverage for this Samsung refrigerator model. If the compressor fails, we recommend contacting Samsung Support to schedule a service visit through phone, chat, or social media. A Samsung-authorized technician will inspect the refrigerator to determine whether the compressor has failed due to a manufacturing defect. If the failure is confirmed and the unit is still within the warranty period, Samsung will replace the compressor at no charge for parts. The limited warranty period is as follows: a. One (1) year parts and labor. b. Five (5) years parts and labor on the Sealed Refrigeration System only (Compressor, Evaporator, Condenser, Drier, and Connecting Tubing). c. Ten (10) years parts and Five (5) years labor on the Digital Inverter Compressor only. If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us through any of the following options: 1. • QuestionHow far back do the door hinges go? I have a covered that goes out 12.25 inches with a height of 69 inches under it. Will the height of the fridge still fit? I'm not worried about still being able to open the covered doors.

    Asked by Height.

    • Answer Hi Height, We appreciate your question about the dimension of this Samsung refrigerator model especially the height and of its door hinges. The door hinges' depth is approximately 7 inches in depth. The overall height of the refrigerator (with hinges) is 70.094 inches. The height of the refrigerator before the hinges is 68.656 inches. The height of 69 inches will fit most of this Samsung refrigerator model. There will be about 11 inches of depth space (hinge and door depth) that will stick out. Leo

  • QuestionHow many side door plastic shelves should there be for each door?

    Asked by Ed.

    • Answer Hi Ed, This is a reasonable question about the side door plastic shelf configuration. For the side‑by‑side refrigerator, the standard door bin layout includes three plastic door bins on the refrigerator (fresh‑food) door and two plastic door bins on the freezer door, for a total of five door bins. This configuration is part of the original interior storage design. The official specification sheet outline the standard door bin layout: https://image-us.samsung.com/SamsungUS/home/pdf/RS22T5201SR_V11.pdf Please keep this reference number for your records: 1152347323.
