Mine is about 6 inches from wall. Inside is very deep. I am 5’3” and had to get a grabber to get everything out of washer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, a whole 6 inches is not necessary. The hot and cold hose hookups are inset a little bit and the drain hose is about 2.5 inches in diameter and comes out at a 90 degree angle to start with. So, in theory you only need to keep it about 2.5 inches away to accommodate the drain hose. In practice it will be about 3 to 3.5 inches just to be sure you do not bind the hot and cold hoses. BUT, the washer already has kind of a spacer on the back of the control panel that will enforce the space needed for the drain hose and I'd bet that is included in the 29.3" deep. I cannot go measure just now because this washer is installed at another house.
