I managed to dye a bedspread in my Samsung top load washer, but I had to leave the washing machine off and fill the tub with buckets of hot water from the sink. I could not figure out how to evade the lid lock nor keep the tub from draining otherwise.

This is because it uses weight sensing technology to determine the amount of water needed based on the amount of items in the wash. ^Jecca
