• I'm happy to say it can, Barlie! The washer is not designed to automatically drain or start again after it has been manually paused. To restart the cycle, you will have to press start or start a new cycle. ^Jecca

• Yes you can put the cycle to soak. Press the pause button and it will unlock the lid to leave it open.
