We have the same dryer about the same time as yours. We also experienced the same phenomenon. Then red the manual carefully and discovered that the dryer has self programs on the left side of the selector knob. This include the “Normal” cycle these programs dont run on high heat. On the fight side located the manually setable programs, but only two allows “high” heat the quick and the time dry cycles. But the quick dry only sized for small loads. If you like to get similar performance then-your “old” dryer you have to use the time-dry program with 1 hour max time and high heat, also try to keep the flex vent hose to minimum length.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I took the outside vent cover off to check and found that when the Best Buy installers attached the flexible vent hose to the outside vent, they pushed it too far in and blocked 50% air flow! I adjusted it and works fine. I am amazed at how the Best Buy installers found yet another way to screw up this install! Along with flooding my laundry room, and delivering a dented dryer, and finally this! Never Again!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine works fine, much better than my old one. Sounds like this customer may have an air leak in the exhaust ducting, likely at an end fitting.
