The amount of water used to fill the WF42H5200AP varies depending on the size of the load, cycles and options selected, but you should not expect the water to fill as high as the door gasket. The drum is angled so it is lower in the back, which contributes to the water level appearing particularly low. Front load washers work by rotating the clothes through the water, so don't require a high water level, using only about 13-15 gallons of water per cycle. - Ms. Samsung
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It will not fill above the level of the inner rim. No front loader will. This is the second one I have owned and it is much nicer than the Whirlpool I bought 11 years ago.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Especially with the high efficiency units, it's not a matter of how high the water fills, so much as that everything is soaked. I've never actually seen a "water level" in my unit, so much as just all the laundry winding up drenched. It's part of how it saves water.
