“Can you wash small loads without balance issues? I am in the process of returning an LG top loader because anything less than a full load (4.1 cu. ft. capacity) usually results in an error signal. I would like to know if you can wash small to half-full loads without these off balance issues. thank you.”

I've washed as few as a dozen cloth napkins in a single load. I've had no balance or error issues. I did get the SUD (too much soap) error once when I used the recommended amount of detergent, but it still cleans just fine in that case... just takes longer to rinse.
